Tamworth area fishing well in winter

Friday, 17th August 2007

Received this nice pic this week of Dean from Tamworth Fishing Tackle (67667100).
Dean was fishing the Peel River out of his canoe and came up with this 920cm cod (est. 35-40lb released).
The area of river he was fishing had too many snags for his favoured AusSpin WiggleSpin lure so he ran with the CodSpin lure in black and red which suited the dirty water.

Wednesday, 11th July 2007

Many thanks to Broken Hill regular Rhys Groves for this nice pic he forwarded on.
Rhys has been fishing the Darling River in the Wilcania area and even though the rivers are extremely low he's been targeting the deeper holes.
This cod jumped onto a 3/8oz chart/orange tip TwinSpin fitted with a stinger hook.
