Swingin' Jig Heads working well on Jewfish

With the increasing use of plastics for jewfish in our estuary, a carefully rigged stick bait like the Jerk minnow or jerk shad is working well. Our Swingin' Jig Heads are ideal for these styles of plastics. This nice jewfish, taken by Graeme from AusSpin is a good example of how this system of plastics fishing works.

While on a quick visit to Melbourne for the recent Commonwealth Games, Graeme from AusSpin was able to fit in a fish at the brilliant Timberlake Private Fishery which is being developed by Mike Wallis (see details below). Fishing a 1/2 oz Pro-Assassinator Clacker Blade in Red Tiger, Graeme accounted for around a dozen fish for the day including this nice est. 8kg fish out of the sticks behind.

Nice fish here for Alex Greer, freshwater fishing tragic from the great Aussie Angler store in Greensborough, just out of Melbourne (03) 9432 1501. Alex was using an AusSpin 1/2oz Black/Red TwinSpin and came up with the best fish of the day, an est. 18kg Murray Cod that was released after a few quick pics. These lake fish are in great shape and are fatter, heavier and just as aggressive to lures as river fish.
