Keith 'On the fly' Endicott turned his hand to jigging soft plastics and came up with this nice river jewfish on an AusSpin 5" Shad.

Fishing the Kiewa River near Albury, local angler Chris Sedgwick was the lucky angler to catch and release this 114cm estimated over 80lb cod. Chris was luring with an AusSpin Black and Gold 3/4oz Tandem spinnerbait. The local word is that the fish was re-captured and released a few days later, the lure again an AusSpin spinnerbait.

Taking a break from bass angling around Kempsey, NSW, Jochem Schmidt headed out west recently to Emmaville in seach of cod. This pic is of his best fish so far. Being just short of a metre in length it nailed a 3/4 oz Purple/Black TwinSpin.

Great Jewfish on AusSpin gear

Some magic jewfish have been coming from our river of late especially on the end of local fishing writer, Phil Bennett's rod. This jewie went 23.5kg and was taken on one of our 6inch shads rigged on a 3/4oz #6/0 jig head. Phil took 40 mins to boat this beast using 10lb braid and threadline gear.
