Top End action on AusSpin Spinnerbaits

Friday, 24th September 2004

Notes from 'The Mad Mullet' Dave Magner in Darwin. "We have played around with spinnerbaits in Corroboree a lot too, and I can assure you that they are absolutely deadly among the lilies for saratoga. You need to buy good quality spinnerbaits however, as most aren't made to take the sort of stress that barra and saratoga can dish out. My favourite spinnerbaits are made in Australia by AusSpin Lures. They take the punishment of fishing with braided line right in the thick of the lilies and snags without getting bent out of shape and saratoga like them better than just about anything else I have tried. They catch a few barra too."

Central West NSW fishing well

Sunday, 18th July 2004

Despite the low water levels in our dams and rivers parts are still fishing well. Mal Birrell with his young bloke were after cod using one of our Pearl Crystalline ShadSpins. They were fishing the Macquarie River near Dubbo when Mal spun up this nice 57cm yellowbelly. After the quick photo the fish was released back into the river.
